On Sunday, September 21, we will be having a special fellowship fundraiser for Send Hope, a mission organization based in Puerto Lempira, Honduras. We will be having a “top your own waffle” event, where we will have freshly made waffles that you will be able to top with a variety of toppings and treats for a freewill offering. Join us for church at 10 am, or stop by around 11 am for fellowship and a waffle.
Send Hope operates a Children’s Home, a Feeding Program, and a school in one of the most impoverished regions of the world. In addition, they maintain a stateside office responsible for packing and shipping supplies to Honduras. Recently, the organization’s operating budget has been significantly impacted by rising costs of goods and increased transportation taxes. These unexpected expenses have prompted difficult conversations about potential cuts to vital services in the near future. The funds raised during this event would go directly toward their Honduran operating budget.
