SUMMARY:Sturgis Chamber's 2024 Parade of Lights
DESCRIPTION:The Sturgis Chamber’s Annual Parade of Lights will take place on Friday\, December 6th 2024 starting at 6PM! Attendees are encouraged to browse shops along the parade route before\, during\, and after the event to support our local retailers.\n\n\nSturgis Chamber’s Annual Parade of Lights\nFriday\, December 6th 2024\nStart at 6:00PM (Downtown around 6:45PM)\n\n\nPARADE ROUTE:\n\n4 PM Float Line-Up (tentative pending approval):\n\nFloats will line up in the Sturgis United Methodist Church parking lot starting at 4pm\, then move onto Ball Park Road heading south when the parade starts at 6pm. Floats will continue in the line moving south and east over the railroad and onto Junction Avenue\, to continue north then west on Main Street (full details below).\n\n6 PM Parade Start (tentative pending approval):\n\n\nParade floats move south and east from the United Methodist Church down Ball Park Road towards Junction Avenue.\nTurn left onto Junction Avenue.\nTurn right onto Harmon Street.\nTurn left onto Fulton Street.\nTurn left onto Park Street.\nTurn right onto Junction Avenue and follow for 10 blocks.\nTurn left onto Main Street and follow for 4 blocks.\n\n\nParade End:\n\nEnd at Main & 4th Street – disperse or circle back to Ball Park Road.\n\nPARADE FLOAT AWARDS:\n\nA panel of judges will determine winners in the following categories:\n\n\nJudges’ Choice\nBest Holiday Sound\nLight of the Parade\nHeartstrings Award\n\n\nTO ENTER:\n\nThe parade is open to any and all businesses\, clubs\, teams\, and individuals! Registration fees are as follows:\n\n• Sturgis Chamber Non-Members: $20 per unit**• Sturgis Chamber Members: FREE!\n\n**1 vehicle engine = 1 unit; a trailer float may be included with a vehicle for no additional charge. Groups of horses\, motorcycles\, etc may be charged the fee at the Chamber’s discretion.\n\nDeadline for Registration: Wednesday\, December 4th by 5pm\n\nPlease pick up your float number for judging from the Chamber office before the parade (numbers are magnetized to stick to the passenger side of your vehicle).\n\nPlease contact the Sturgis Chamber office at 2040 Junction Avenue to register your float and pay your $20 fee (if a non-member).
